Project Description
The specific aim of the EEFQM project is to develop a methodology (framework) in the Quality Management tools of Lean and Six Sigma to improve the productivity and competitiveness of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This project is titled the European Educational Framework in Quality Management (EEFQUALITY MANAGEMENT) and aims to develop a course to deliver via blended learning to employees in Small to Medium Size Enterprises that will benefit both the employee and the SME in which they are employed.

Project Objectives
The EEFQM project, through the provision of a creative and innovative approach will adapt existing quality management tools in a framework specifically modified to suit the SME learner. A quality management framework and associated courses aims to address competitiveness issues which small companies face.It aims to provide a rational, structured approach whereby SMEs can systematically remove waste from their key processes thereby improving effectiveness, cycle time and customer responsiveness. Participants of the EEFQM will have a method of formalising their skills and experience through the acquisition of a European recognised accreditation and thereby improving their employability.

Project Outcomes
EEFQUALITY MANAGEMENT will provide a well-defined innovative quality management framework. The framework will be adapted & modified to suit the SME Learner and provides a novel delivery mechanism as a blended learning solution to overcome the restrictions that SMEs face. The EEFQM addresses the needs of the SME by offering a cost effective, web-based learning platform ensuring training delivery at the desired pace and availability of the Learner. A blended learning solution offered through the accredited framework, will address the issues of cost and on-time training delivery.
